Yea! I’ve been looking foward to this today. Thanks!
Thank you for doing this. That picture made me LOL. 🙂
I’m so excited! Thanks for getting these ready so soon… I was going to wait until the weekend to start, but I might just have to start today! The random-trait calculator is so cool… many thanks!

Yes, thank you very much for the hard, hard work and long hours that this had to have taken. I’ve been playing the new versions a bit ambivalently (like so many of us) and your challenge definitely puts some zing back! I can’t wait to get rolling 🙂
Amazing! I can’t wait to do the challenge! It always makes me enjoy the game to its fullest!
hey love this and started but, I am worried I will lose my old save loading a new game 🙁
I’ve been choosing “Save As” for my Legacy family and naming the saves something different than the other games so they have less of a chance of being overwritten.
Thank you 🙂

So I was planning on my new character to start off my legacy. She got married and her husband brought in 20,000 simelons. He did not live in the neighborhood and he has since demised in a tragic house fire that was planned. Is that the amount that your sim brought in or do I need to begin again because of this?
I meant wasn’t planned.
My spouse brought in 20,000 as well. It seems fairly standard.
Hello. Love the idea and the rules!! Sound really fun. I was played for 60 hours and love the game. I will create my founders today. Can I translate the rules to spanish for share in ea spanish forum with your link? It will be great if the spanish comnunity can play too. Later I share the link with my blog and first pictures. So happy :)) Thanks
Confused on the spouse part can someone clarify?
What do you need clarification on? How to choose one, how to move them in? Something else?
Choosing one. I guess I’m confused on they can’t be a part of a household.
Go to World Management, then Unplayed households and look for Sims that say “Not living in World” those are Sims that you can choose for spouses.
Okay thank you that clears it up a lot
There is a money cheat you can use instead. Make sure you enable testing cheats by typing (without quotes) “testingcheats true”. Then type (again, without quotes) “money 1800”. You can use the money cheat whenever you’d like, for whatever amount you’d like. Just substitute the amount of simoleons you’d like your family to have.
This is very useful for getting rid of the 20,000 a new spouse brings in, but using the statue trick is important as the statue inflates your bills, something that is meant to add difficulty to the challenge.
two questions
1. how do you adjust funds? I tried to split my family up but the game automatically gives them $20,000 which is the same amount I saved up for them to move. How do I get rid of the extra cash?
2. I tried to sign up so I can post in the forums however my gmail account blocks the confirmation email saying that it did not originate from gmail because they can’t find that email address and user. so do I just re-sign up?
1) Are you talking about moving in spouses?
2) Hmm… not sure why that is happening with the forums? What is your username that you are trying to sign up with?
[…] less for the points and challenge and more for the story I still stuck (mostly) to Pinstar’s The Sims 4 Legacy Challenge rules. The only rule I didn’t follow was the 50×50 lot rule. I wanted my legacy to live […]
