Legacy House Builds

I have been working on a Legacy House Build project for a while now where I am posting houses on the Sims 4 Gallery that are “Legacy Challenge Friendly” for those of you that enjoy playing the Legacy Challenge (or other similar challenges) but don’t like building. This project is still in its very early stages, but I will be adding more and more houses as time goes on. Houses will range from “lawn living” lots, all the way to mansions that will help complete the Mansion Baron aspiration. I’m also hoping to include houses that will help with various other aspirations as well (houses specific for boosting creativity, logic, etc)

Unless otherwise noted most of the houses will not require the use of any game packs. I will make sure to note the ones that do!

All houses will be found under the EA ID: Pinstar1161 with the hashtag #LegacyHouseBuilds

NOTE: If you are going to use these houses please make sure that all important items inside the previous house/lot (collectibles, paintings, books written by your Sims) are placed in either Family Inventory or your Sim’s personal inventory before bulldozing the previous house. If you don’t, you might lose these items! (Thank you EuphorialQueen for pointing this out!)

Here are the houses that I currently have available (this list will grow as time goes on and as the houses get bigger, I will post full tours of the houses as well):

Legacy – Lawn Living – The bare bones that your Sims will need when starting their first day of the Legacy Challenge. All they will need to buy is the Knight of the Octagon Table and they’ll be all set! Legacy House < §6,000 – Here is the next step for Legacy living. An actual (tiny) house this time! It has the bare necessities for an early Legacy couple with a bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchen area. I also included some skill up/emotion items.

Legacy House <§15,000 – Next up we have another later stage starter house that costs under 15K. This one has two bedrooms (master & child’s room), along with a larger kitchen, eating area, living room, and bathroom. I have also included workout equipment along with the standard skill up items that were provided in the last house (easel, chess set, and bookcase).

Legacy House <§30,000 – Here is a slightly larger house with a more modern feel to it. This house costs under 30K which means it’s suitable for a slightly more established Legacy family. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a larger kitchen, better appliances & furniture, and more skilling items (including a computer and garden plots).

Legacy House <§50,000 – This house is quite a bit larger than the 30K house. It has plenty of space for your family to grow into. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and larger rooms so that your Sims aren’t all crammed in. This house should comfortably fit 6 Sims, and possibly 8 if you add more beds! It also has almost all of the skill building items that you could need. This house should last you for quite a while. I don’t plan on doing another house until 100K so you should get quite a lot of use out of this one!

Mansion Baron Tier 1 (~§55,000) – Here is the first house for the Mansion Baron aspiration. This house will accomplish the first tier goal which is to have a house worth at least §50,000 as well as have 15 pieces of art. Since I also wanted to make this a Legacy friendly house, I included three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lots of space, and many required skill-up items. This is the first house that I have created that requires packs. The two packs you will need for this house are City Living and Get to Work. Everything else is from the base game.

Legacy House ~§100,000 – This house packs a one-two punch for the Legacy Challenge. Not only is it a HUGE upgrade from the 50K house with extra bedrooms and space, but it will ALSO complete tier 2 of the Mansion Baron aspiration. It is a bit over 100K, but by that point in the Legacy, an addition 20K shouldn’t be too much of a big deal for your Sims. This house will require the City Living and Get to Work expansions. I have also included an inspiration room, logic room, and fitness room. You can add emotional buff items to these rooms to get your Sims in a stronger emotional state while in them.

More houses will be posted soon! Let me know what you think so far!

My lawn living family is now living in your modern 3 bedroom. I had started the legacy before. I love the layout! Can’t wait until your next one because I’ve decided this family will only live in your legacy houses 😉

Oh cool! I’m working on the next one right now actually! I was actually thinking I might start up a video series of a Legacy family that lives exclusively in the houses too. Might be fun!

Thinking about blogging it but I have to get my health back first. My blog is on the back burner. Still playing sims though! And, taking screenies. 😉

No interior pic for the $6,000 house?

I forgot to take one LOL. I get one posted later today when I sign into the game.

@Mystic – When replacing your current lot with a new one you risk losing items. Example: Collectibles, Paintings or Books created by your Legacy family. Things in Family or personal inventory should be fine but anything in the actual house or on the grounds may be lost.
*Just a reminder to be cautious. 🙂

Yeah I should probably note somewhere that it’s probably best to keep important items that you don’t want to lose in your family inventory. Thanks for pointing that out.

EuphorialQueen

Learned that lesson the hard way 🙂 Glad to share

Hello Mystic,
I am a long time Sims Legacy player (although still trying to completed one). Thank you and Pinstar for all that you do.
I was just wondering if I could help build some Legacy Houses?

On another note, have you read the book Moon Chosen by P. C. Cast? I think you would enjoy it if you haven’t.
Have a wonderful day.

You are absolutely welcome to build houses for #LegacyHouseBuilds. Feel free to build whatever you want for it and just use the hashtag #LegacyHousebuilds.

In fact… that’s a great idea for anyone that wants to do that. I think I’ll make a post about it in a bit in case others want to participate. Maybe I’ll try and do tours of the houses made from time to time on Youtube too. That would be fun.

I’m going to use these ideas in sims 3 for that legacy. I’ll build each house as I go, as I earn the money. I’ve planned on none of my heirs having kids till the adult life stage if they’re female. They’re not allowed to get married until they have a good steady income coming in 🙂

I LOVE THIS!! Especially for when starting out, and I had wondered if something like this was possible, when the rules stated you could purchase prefabricated rooms at full price, I thought — “Well, why not a whole house?” Especially since there are some very talented builders, and some of those gallery homes are just gorgeous. My houses always end up fairly average — so this is a great thing. To simply change houses as you progress and have the money to do so.

I’m glad I found this thread. Thanks!! (I’m just lurking around, because I’m toying with the idea of a Legacy Extreme Start — with Seasons).

Awesome! Glad you like it!

With my kids home for the summer I haven’t had much time to work on the latest house, but I’m going to try to get back into this soon.

Did the house builds dissapear for anyone else?

You mean on the Gallery? It might be because of all the updates they did recently. I’ll have to look into it.

I really am enjoying doing this challenge. I am also enjoying

I just wanna note that the lawn living build is no longer viable/doesn’t work in Seasons because the rain effectively disables the fridge

Ah, good point. When I get around to it, I’ll try and edit that build a bit so that the fridge is covered somehow.

So I was going to remedy this by making a roof “house” over everything. I thought roofs were free, but whenever I put the roof on it adds about §50 to the cost of the house (maybe because of the added walls). So I can still add it, but you all will just need to keep in mind that you’ll need to either forage or go to your first day of work in order to be able to buy it. So you may need to sleep on a bench in an indoor lot or something.

Hi. I’m new to using Legacy when my computer broke and was forced to download onto an older Mac. Does anyone know how/ if I am able to get downloads into my Sims legacy edition? Everything I have downloaded before still shows up as downloaded on EA’s website but not in the legacy version of my game (since there is no longer access to the gallery.) Thanks!

Hello i have a question as long as i stay on the 50×50 lot can i bulldoze my house and re build sill question also when my sim marryed their spouse her last name changes ive changed it back and it keeps changing again

Hi. I’m pretty new to your blog but I’m a veteran of The Sims franchise as far back as my fire encounter with SimCity back in its hay day. I love the level of detail with these houses and lots. Keep up the good work.

Also, you can check out my homes and households on the gallery as well: EA ID: WarrenKWoodhouse #warrenwoodhouse

Also, you can find live streams and builds on my YouTube channel as well at https://youtube.com/user/warrenwoodhouse

I look forward to seeing more amazing builds by you and Pinstar.
