The Sims 4 Legacy Challenge Random Trait Generator has been updated today. The updates are as follows:
The traits of the two parents are no longer locked with child/teen/adult trait levels, meaning that you can now freely populate traits in all three slots. For some of you who had founders with no child-friendly traits, you should now be able to correctly plug your founder into the calculator.
Next update: Adding a “Generate only one life stage” mode to the calculator, letting you only generate a child trait/aspiration, a teen trait/ adult aspiration or the third adult trait one at a time so you don’t spoil what all the traits are going to be when you do your initial generation, or worry about forgetting with the later traits were.
Great update, I like it that I don’t know what is going to happen when the child ages from child to Teen so that I cannot prepare their skills and what not for the aspiration.
I’ve just been generating again whenever the game asks for traits. Thanks for the changes!
I noticed it has Primary and Secondary parent. I assume that means the current heir is the primary? Does it weight their traits more heavily than the secondary parent?
It should weigh the traits the same. I don’t think it matters, but yes, heir/founder would be primary 🙂
Awesome update! I really like the feature that will let the later traits stay unknown. It adds to the excitement of each age stage, finding out what trait is next. 🙂 Tyvm again for doing all of this for us, you’ve improved the game immeasurably for me, both in TS3 and now in TS4. Kudos!
If we have existing children/teens, can we roll individuals traits as they age up even though we already rolled with the old generator? I’d like to be surprised!
Hmm… maybe I was using the generator the wrong way all along. I mean when I was asked for child traits, I generated it, but I haven’t made notes on which traits were generated for later life stages. Should I have?
A related question: When this next update comes, will there be additional drop-downs in it, so that when a child becomes a teen I won’t only enter the parent’s traits, but the child’s first trait and initial aspiration also? I think it would be necessary if we want to avoid additional traits’ conflicts with initial ones.
Awesome. Thanks so much. 🙂
Where can I find the score sheet for the legacy??
That’s still being worked on.
