The Retreaux Legacy Ch 1.15 – Crono Enters the Matrix

Hello everyone! In last week’s chapter it seemed that everything that could have gone wrong… did… (darn that Murphy and his silly law!). I’m hoping that we can redeem ourselves at least a little bit in this chapter, but with the way things have been going, I’m not entirely hopeful. Also, I just realized that I have been forgetting to link the heir poll. So be sure to vote on that because we’re getting close to the point where I will need to choose the generation two heir.

Look at Ti-Ning looking all snazzy in his suit. He earned himself yet another promotion and is now a Detective, which means no more going to work in a squad car. He’s also earning a fair amount more now which is definitely helpful at the moment. The next promotion requires a couple of new friends. Now that Ayla is a teenager I am going to put her on friend making duty.

This is… quite the interesting way to do the “Hangout with” interaction. Ayla looks like such a creeper behind the couch there. Her friends don’t really seem to mind though. She managed to become friends with both of them before Ti-Ning’s next day at work which earned him his next promotion. Way to go Ayla!

It’s a good thing Ti-Ning got that promotion too because I just got a popup that the bills have been left unpaid. Apparently one of them got the mail and left the bills on the ground without me noticing. Thankfully we were able to pay both this set of bills and the 2nd set in the mailbox before the Repo person decided to come in and take our belongings.

On the weekdays everyone comes home from work and school at the same time (and Random Work Friend almost always comes home with them) which means that arrival time is usually a bit of a disaster. Today Marle decided to walk in front of the bus and then get stuck there. She was rather annoyed that the bus was blocking her path. But it’s ok because…

… the bus decided to drive right through her. That bus driver had more kids to drop off and he/she wasn’t going to let a little thing like vehicular manslaughter get in their way! Marle was fine though, so I guess we won’t be suing the bus company today.

Guess what time it is! Crono is becoming a teenager! Oh gosh. I can’t believe our baby boy is growing up. *sheds a tear*

Everyone gathered around to celebrate Crono’s birthday and it was at this point that I realized that Marle and Random Work Friend are dressed exactly the same. Random Work Friend is starting to get quite creepy, I’m not going to lie. Is… is she trying to replace Marle? She’s over all the time… she’s best friends with Ayla. This is… it’s starting to really weird me out, I’m not going to lie.

But back to the topic at hand… Crono is aging up! He’s whistling a happy little tune while he does so as well! Someone sure is excited to become a teenager. Though why ANYONE would be excited about becoming a teenager is beyond me. All those surging hormones… all that acne… no thank you.

Oh my gosh. He’s become Neo! I didn’t realize he was planning to enter the Matrix. Ok, Crono this is fine. But if you experience deja vu, run like heck. Crono rolled the Knowledge aspiration with a Romance secondary aspiration. (Ayla is Popularity with romance secondary) So if you are voting based on aspirations, now is the time to do so! I know who I’M voting for based on this information.

Alright! This concludes today’s chapter. I think it definitely went slightly better than last week’s chapter. Less stuff broke and caught fire anyway. We’ll try again with the Headmaster soon. A couple of you in the comments mentioned that he absolutely hates chef’s salad (I didn’t know this), so I will level up Ti-Ning’s culinary skill a bit and try again with something else.
