Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted a chapter in the Retreaux Legacy. The last few weeks of summer were insanely busy for me, but things have settled down now that my kids are back in school. In our last chapter, Crono aged up into a child. We were able to get him to Platinum aspiration status beforehand which means that he’s off to a great start!
This had me giggling for a while. Ayla is definitely her mother’s daughter. The two of them spend a good portion of their time pretending to be pirates in the bathtub. In fact I had one day where Marle got annoyed because Ayla was already in the bathtub pretending to be a pirate, and Marle couldn’t join her.
Now that Crono is a child, I updated his bedroom a bit. I decided to give him a space theme because it was as close to a time travel theme that I could get with the stuff available in the Sims 2. There is a more futuristic looking bed than that one, but I didn’t like how it looked in the room.
Ayla: Why is this muffin burned… AGAIN?
Well it looks like we have a serial muffin burner on our hands. Crono has gotten into the habit of making muffins in the kid oven, but then forgetting them in the oven and letting Ayla discover their charred remains. It happened approximately five times while I was taking screenshots for this chapter.
Ti-Ning earned himself yet another promotion which means that we have the money to update the living room. I added better quality furniture (with a much higher comfort and environment score) which will hopefully help once we decide to invite the Private School Headmaster over for dinner.
Ayla: ACK! CRONOOOOO! Stop burning muffins!
Crono: I put a muffin in there? I don’t remember doing that!
After what seemed like forever, Marle went back to work. Now that the kids are in school, she is able to actually leave the house without the game yelling at us that she is abandoning the kids. Yeah, I suppose I could have hired a nanny, but if I’m being honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of them. They tend to not have the greatest AI.
However, Marle had a great day at work, and will hopefully soon, finally earn another promotion!
Hopefully you enjoyed this chapter! I think we are getting close to Ayla’s next birthday which means she will be becoming a teenager. I haven’t yet decided whether or not I’m going to be sending her and Crono to college yet. I guess it depends on what aspirations they roll.
