New Challenge

Introducing the Alien Adoption Challenge!

Hello everyone! Pinstar has an all-new Parenthood-centric challenge for you guys to play! The Alien Adoption Challenge! Want to really put your Sim’s parenting skills to the test? This challenge is for you!

You will be starting with an Alien Toddler and will be unable to DIRECTLY control that Alien Sim until they reach Young Adulthood. The only way you can teach them things and meet their needs is by using their parent.

This challenge will require a couple of different packs (not just Parenthood) to work properly. You will need Parenthood, Get to Work, and City Living.

Want to see how to get started with the challenge? Check out Pinstar’s introduction video!

In other news, both the Legacy Challenge and the Wonder Child Challenge have had some minor updates with the release of Parenthood. Changes for the Legacy Rules can be found under the Gameplay and Scoring section! As always, these rule updates are optional and you will not need the pack to continue playing the challenges as you normally would.

Legacy Challenge Updates & A New Challenge Coming Soon!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update in regards to what is happening with the Legacy Challenge with the new Parenthood game pack. We will be adding some optional updates to the channel (if you don’t own the pack, you obviously will not need to do anything different). We are still playtesting quite a bit, but hopefully will have the updates soon!

Pinstar also has a NEW challenge for the Parenthood pack in the works. Rules will be posted once he has finished playtesting everything. This challenge will be specific to the Parenthood pack and should be a nice, shorter challenge for those of you that don’t have the time to do a long, Legacy challenge 🙂

Hope you all are having a great week!

A Springboard For Another Challenge?

Sims 4 Apocalypse ChallengeIt is no secret that when I made the Wonder Child challenge, I had the Apocalypse Challenge in mind already. In the original Apocalypse Challenge, you began with a new Young Adult sim in College who was able to spend their time there restriction-free and thus be built up before having to brave the harshness of life in an Apocalypse Challenge.

The Sims 4 didn’t have that sort of mechanic yet. Oh sure, you could just download a sim off the exchange but you would want a sim that was built from the ground up to have as many skill points and traits as possible to maximize the benefit you received from them starting your Apocalypse Challenge.

So now, thanks to the Wonder Child Challenge, we have a healthy crop of brilliant young adults out there, waiting to brave the end of the world.

What if… What if we used them for something else? I’m toying with the notion that the Wonder Child challenge could lead into a business-based challenge where the wonder child is the entrepreneur. Thus they could potentially use some of their starting skills and traits to gain an edge in the business world.

Now I don’t know ALL the details of Get to Work (Sadly I was not invited to Creator’s Camp for this pack, and thus don’t have any early hands-on experience with the game). I can tell you that it will be more than just “Reach a max level business.”

What do you think about having your Wonder Child start a business? Do you think it would add to, or take away from a Business based challenge? Let me know your thoughts!
