The random trait generators have both been updated to include the new aspirations added in The Sims 4 Realm of Magic *. However, we have not yet included the new inherited traits as we need to figure out how best to include them into the generator. We will update those when we can!

Hello everyone! Since I have recently decided to put content creation for the Sims on the backburner, I thought it would be a good idea to bring back the weekly links where I share the let’s plays and stories that other Simmers created for the Legacy Challenge.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since we’ve given you an update regarding the changes to the Sims 4 and how they will affect the Legacy Challenge.
To be completely honest, we are a bit behind on The Sims 4 at the moment. We haven’t purchased Island Living and don’t really plan to, so it’s taken us a while to figure out what exactly we need to update since we don’t have the game to playtest.
First off, you may absolutely use the new CAS story mode to make your founder, but you do not have to. This is up to your own individual preferences.
Secondly, if you’d like to increase the difficulty of your challenge you can use the new “Off the grid” lot trait. We are not adding any official rules for this, but if you want to make your own challenge more difficult, then go for it.
You may also allow your Sims to get odd jobs, but this will have no affect on the challenge itself.
Finally, we are not updating the challenge for Island Living. We made a decision a while back that we will not be updating the challenge for further expansion packs. To be honest, we don’t really play The Sims 4 anymore and haven’t been buying the packs. You are more than welcome to use the new additions from any future packs in your challenge, there will just not be any new points for them.
This episode was beyond frustrating. I really don’t know what’s wrong with my game at this point.
H’aanit is doing lots of gardening in order to meet the criteria for her job, but also because she seems to be enjoying it. I imagine it’s a nice little break from the hecticness of having 3 boys.
Now that The Sims 4 Island Living * has been released there are some updates to the Legacy Challenge that I wanted to mention.
First off, the Random Trait Generator has been updated to include the two new traits (Child of the Islands and Child of the Ocean). As always if you do not have a particular expansion pack and roll one of its traits, simply roll again.
We are NOT adding the new Aspiration (Beach Life) to the trait generator as it is a location based aspiration and will not work with the Legacy rules.
The new “Off the Grid” lot trait can be used as you see fit just like all other lot traits. This one might add a fun layer of difficulty to the Legacy Challenge that we haven’t seen before. We are not, however, making any official rules for it at this time.
Finally, several of you have been asking if you can use the new in-game trait/aspiration generator for the Legacy Challenge and the answer is yes. However, keep in mind that our trait generator factors in the traits of the parents when randomizing the traits. I don’t believe (though I could be wrong) that the game’s version will do that. We will leave it up to you on which one you want to use. Our trait generator will remain active and updated for each new pack. For those of you that prefer it.

This episode was a huge mess of emotions. Joy… sadness…. uh… humor?
It feels weird celebrating “Thanksgiving” in the beginning of June, but such is life when you’re playing the Sims! I think I need to tweak this holiday a little bit, though.
Now that Imane is a Freelancer I really want to work on getting her some gigs so that I can see how this works. Also, I gave H’aanit the Fertile trait so uh… yeah that’s a thing now.
It’s time to build a greenhouse for H’aanit’s new gardening obsession. I also decide to check out the new Freelancer career with Imane.
