ImaginingMystic’s Sims 2 Legacy Challenge – Update

Hi all!

Unfortunately there will be no Sims 2 Legacy Challenge chapter today. My Sims 2 game has decided to die again. It was having near constant errors for the last couple of weeks where I would only be able to play for a few minutes and then it would shut down. Now it won’t boot up at all.

I’m going to be honest here. I’m tired for fighting with the game. I tried getting everything moved to Origin, but only a few of the Sims 2 games are available there. So, I’m going to have to throw in the towel on the Sims 2 Legacy. I just can’t keep fighting with it. I am hoping to get a Sims 3 Legacy up soon and POSSIBLY do it as a YouTube Let’s Play instead of written chapters, but that is a big if at the moment. I have to see how my computer handles video recording and editing. I’m skeptical as to whether or not it can. If it can’t, I’ll do written chapters like I’ve been doing with the Sims 2.

I am sorry to everyone that has been reading my Sims 2 Legacy story. I was really having fun with it, but it’s just not worth the stress of fighting with The Sims 2 game anymore.

I’m hoping to get my Sims 3 Legacy up (in one form or another) by next Saturday, so stay tuned!

ImaginingMystic’s Legacy Story – Chapter 7

Well here we are again for another Legacy story chapter. Interestingly enough, even though I’m still only partially into Generation 2 in the stories, I’m already well into Generation 5, almost Generation 6 in game. It’s nice to go back and see all of the Sims from the previous generations!

Sims 2 Legacy Chapter 6.18We last left our family with Lancy getting her first kiss from Jake. Aww, how sweet.

ImaginingMystic’s Legacy Story – Chapter 6

Chapter 5 of my story saw the birthday of the twins, Lancy and Baden. They are now teenagers, yay! However, as Sarahzsmyl pointed out after I posted Chapter 5, I neglected to mention the aspirations that the twins rolled. Whoops!

Baden rolled Romance and Lancy rolled Pleasure… *headdesk* Lancy’s lifetime want is to Become a Game Designer and I don’t remember what Baden’s was. At least Lancy’s LTW was one of the less painful Pleasure LTWs…

As I mentioned in Chapter 5, I decided to finally go ahead and add some custom content replacements to my game. I showed a picture of what Lancy looked like, but not Geneva. Here she is. I'm really loving the skintone replacement, it looks much more realistic.

ImaginingMystic’s Legacy Story – Chapter 5

Hello again everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

Now that we’re back home and no longer traveling I can finally get back to playing my Legacy family and working on the Legacy story.

Sims 2 Legacy Chapter 5.1

It would seem that the walls in the Legacy household were not build to code. Snow should not be seeping in through the bottom like this. Yikes.

And now… a word from the Good News Department

*clears throat*  I am pleased to announce that….

They’re baaaaaaaaaaack!

Just as randomly as my Sims 2 game stopped working for almost 3 weeks, it has randomly started running again!  My Legacy family is fine, just where I last left them and everything is right with the world again.

I have no idea what caused the game to have constant errors, all I know is that it is working again.  The only thing that changed is that Windows performed an update the other day.  So maybe that had something to do with it?

Who knows.  All I know is, I’m ecstatic right now!  I can’t wait to get this family to Generation 10!

Added a Sims 4 category to the forums!

I just added a category to our forums for discussions specific to The Sims 4. If you have any questions for us regarding our plans for the Sims 4 or if you have any suggestions for us, please post them there.  We’d love to hear from you!

We’d really like the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge to be more of a group effort.  Rather than Pinstar coming up with rules and posting them, we’d really like to incorporate some fan ideas into the challenge as well.  You all have been such a huge part of the success of this challenge that we want you all to have input into how the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge goes.  So if there is something you’d like to see, please let us know on the forums!

Welcome to the new Legacy Challenge website!

Welcome to the new Legacy Challenge Website - Pinstar and ImaginingMystic

Hello and welcome to the new Legacy Challenge Website! For the last week I have been busily getting our new website together. I have wanted to move the Legacy Challenge Blog over to it’s own domain for a while now, but I was worried that transferring from a Blogger blog to a WordPress blog was going to be way more trouble than it was worth. However, I finally decided to just grit my teeth and do it.  And you know what?  Transferring from Blogger to WordPress is EASY. It took all of about 5 minutes to get the posts from Blogger to here.

December 2013 Sim of the Month Challenge – Fred Fernberger

 Fred Fernberger
Sim of the Month: December 2013
——————————————————-

(NOTE:  If you have never done a Sim of the Month Challenge before and would like to know more, you can find more information on the Sim of the Month Challenge Page.)

Fred Fernberger was never what you would call a “Normal” person. A day dreamer, Fred has always had difficulty remaining grounded in reality. To him, life should be a fairy tale, with happy endings for everybody. Unfortunately for Fred, life isn’t a fairy tale and up until now, his own life did not look like it was headed for a happy ending.
