This helped me so much. I tried a few times to start a legacy and I got too frazzled the first few days. I was doing a lot of what u suggested, but I was freaking out if my sim was overly hungry or tired. I spent all the money on walls and a cheap bed at first. I also worried too much about finding a spouse the first few days. Anyway. I watched this and liked that u took me through the first day with even more ideas. My founder made it through that tough first week. She’s now married to Christopher steel and expecting baby #2. She is in the music industry and plays for tips often in the park.
That’s great to hear!
Hello,
I would like to thank you for thinking up this cool strategy! After a long break I have started playing The Sims 3 again and I have decided to play the legacy challenge, because it looks like a lot of fun! I will definitely not get bored this time. Thank you again!
Before I start I would like to ask some questions. Before moving my founder Sim in the town, can I first edit the town? I would like to put in some community lots from the expansions. Is it considered cheating if I create a community lot and place some beds there? I would like to create a hangout that would serve as a hotel.
Have a nice day!
Hi there! Glad you like the challenge! Sorry for the delay in responding to your questions, we were traveling for the last few days.
Yes, you can edit the town prior to moving your founder in. Interesting question about putting beds on a community lot! We’ve never thought to do that before! Pinstar said yes, however, don’t put down a bunch of beds that will max energy super quickly (ie modded beds) as that wouldn’t really follow the rules for the challenge.
Thank you for the information, it helped me a lot 🙂
I am really happy I can do that, because it makes my story more realistic.
I assure you, that I don’t use any mods or modded content in my game, I only use some of the official content from The Sims 3 Store.
I started playing my first legacy couple of days ago and for the purpose of making it all look more realistic I have placed only one double bed (Forty Winks from the Generations EP) on one of the existing community lots. I play in Monte Vista so I decided to implement the Public Pizzeria in the storyline because it would be shame not to do so 🙂
I left you the address of my new blog in case you would like to give a look.
Have a nice day!
Yeah that should be fine! I really should get Monte Vista! The pizzeria sounds fun!
Oh, I almost forgot to ask. On the page “Challenge Rules” that you find on my website I have created some kind of summary of the rules and I have also placed there a link to your website as the official challenge rules source. Is that ok for you?
Yes that’s fine! I’ll go ahead and add your Legacy to our links page!
Ok. Thank you!
