The Europa Legacy – Chapter 1 – Meet Geneva

Hello everyone! If you follow my Let’s Plays on Youtube, then you may remember me saying that I wasn’t planning on doing a written Legacy for the Sims 4. Well, I’ve changed my mind (surprise, surprise). The thing is, I got my start in playing Legacy families back in Sims 2 as a story writer for them and I miss it. So, I decided to get back to my roots and start up a written Legacy to go along with the Fantasia Legacy Let’s Play, Animator Legacy Livestream, Saifai Legacy Let’s Play (Sims 3), and Retro Legacy (Sims 2). Holy cow that’s a lot of Legacies. And before you ask, yes, I am indeed insane! 🙂

Now then, let me introduce you to the founder of my newest Legacy:

10-01-14_3-56 PM

This is Geneva Europa. If you can’t tell by her name, I will be doing a European city naming theme for this Legacy (similar to my original Sims 2 written Legacy that I started on our old Legacy Challenge website). Say hi to everyone, Geneva!

Geneva: Huh? Who? What? Sorry was browsing the web. What did you say?

*sigh* We’re off to a good start.

Geneva is starting her life off in Willow Creek, just like all of my other Sims 4 Legacy founders. I’m not sure why I haven’t actually started a Legacy in Oasis Springs yet. I really should. Perhaps that’s where my Wonder Child family will live.

Geneva, like all Legacy Challenge founders, doesn’t have much on her giant lot right now. And that’s because of this dude:

10-01-14_3-46 PM

Our “Knight of the Octagon Table” who shall henceforth be referred to as Sir Snufflepants of Worthington. He’d bow, but he seems to have gone a bit rigid.

You won’t be seeing much of him as he is doomed to live out his live in my family’s inventory, never to see the light of day. He’s only out on the lawn right now so I could take a picture of him… you know… for dramatic effect… or something *shifty eyes*.

10-01-14_3-58 PM

Now that Sir Snufflepants of Worthington has been safely placed into the Europa family inventory I can give you a tour of Geneva’s lovely home. Beautiful isn’t it? *sheds a tear*

Actually, I have to be honest. Maybe I’m a weirdo, but I really love the “living on the lawn” phase of Legacy families. Seeing them start out in poverty and then working their way up to a glorious mansion is part of the reason this challenge has always appealed so much to me. That and genetics. I love watching how the genetics of the family are passed down from generation to generation.

10-01-14_5-59 PM-4Seeing as Geneva has to find SOME way to earn money before she goes to her first day at work, I decided to have her dig around town to hopefully find some items to sell.

While I was at it, I also had her buddy up to the “Secret Portal” tree in Willow Creek.

10-01-14_5-58 PM-2

Geneva: Oh hello tree! You are just so very gorgeous! Yes you are! Yes you are! Goochie goochie goo!

Ok Geneva, stop. Now I think you are scaring it. I didn’t even think it was possible for a tree to feel abject terror.

10-01-14_6-00 PM-2

Summer: You… were just talking to that tree weren’t you? I’m pretty sure I saw you talking to that tree.

10-01-14_6-01 PM

Geneva: Well… this is awkward.

10-01-14_6-02 PM-3

Mr. Iforgethisname: Hey ladies, what’s going on here.

Summer: Oh this one was just talking to a tree. I saw her.

Geneva: Pfft! Whatever, who cares if I was talking to a tree!?

10-01-14_6-03 PM

Geneva: Trees have feelings too ya know! Doesn’t anyone care?!

Summer: Hey check it out Mr. Iforgethisname! I’m taking a picture of the Ms. Crazypants! This is totally going on Simsbook!

10-01-14_6-04 PM-7

Aha! It looks like all of Geneva’s hard work has paid off! Time to see where this leads! (And yes, Summer randomly decided to do sit ups… in a mini skirt. Who’s the weirdo now?)

Geneva arrives at her destination in the next chapter! Stay tuned!

Thanks! 🙂

‘Living on the lawn’ is my favorite part of the Legacy Challenge too! I’m tempted to start a second Legacy just so I can play through that part of the challenge again! 🙂

Haha! I’ve been known to do that as well 🙂

I wasn’t aware that tree was a portal tree, wow. *Goes back into legacy game and starts talking up the tree* I really am looking forward to the next chapter.

regards, Jen

Thanks! I didn’t know it was a portal either until recently! SimsVIP did a write up about the two hidden worlds in the game. Check it out at http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/worlds/hiddenareas.php

Brilliant start! I can’t wait to see what happens next. I can tell already this is going to be one of my faves. So well written and funny and it was only just the intro. I actually love the lawn living too. I love seeing how things progress as the funds increase and I really enjoy pushing my Sims in ways I wouldn’t in normal game play.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

Hooray for blogged Legacy Challenges! Great to see you writing your legacy up again. 😀

[…] Hello everyone! Welcome to chapter 2 of the Europa Legacy. If you haven’t read chapter 1 yet, you can find it here. […]

Love this! I started my legacy founder, Lady Kyrie Elmfire, off the same way…I had her dig and collect plants until I had enough to buy her an easel! After that, there was no stopping her! You write wonderfully and I love your humor…Can’t wait to see what is next for Geneva! Thanks for taking the time to post this 🙂
