Printable Sims 4 Legacy Challenge Rulebook & Scoresheet is now available!

Have you been looking for a printable Legacy Challenge rulebook and scoresheet? Well look no further! Fellow Simmer NerdyBunny has created a gorgeous, printable rulebook & scoresheet for the challenge! You can download and print this out so that you can have your very own physical copy of the rules and your own personal scoresheet. Random Trait Generators Updated for the Cats & Dogs Expansion!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that the both of the Random Trait Generators (the all traits at once and the one trait at a time generators) have been updated to include the Aspiration and two new traits included in the Cats & Dogs expansion. As always, if you do not own this expansion simply re-roll (click the Roll Another Child button) to get traits that you do have the expansion for.

Also, in regards to changes to the Legacy Challenge rules for this new expansion… there likely will not be any major gameplay changes. We will not be updating the rules to include a pet Legacy as pets count as part of your 8 Sim limit which will make it very difficult to run your regular Sim Legacy. Legacy families are allowed to have pets, but just keep in mind that they count towards your Sim limit which might be a problem if you have a lot of Sims in a particular generation.

There MIGHT be a standalone pet related challenge coming in the future, but no changes will be made to any of our current challenges to add pets sub-rules.

Legacy Rules for the Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Will Be Delayed

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that updated Legacy Challenge Rules for the Sims 4 Cats & Dogs will likely be delayed for a bit. We are unable to purchase the game at the moment which means we won’t be able to do any sort of playtesting to see what we needed updated/add/change for the rules. We are hoping to be able to buy the game in a week or so, but until then, the rules will not be updated. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

I also have a challenge in mind for the new expansion, but again, it will need to wait until I can actually obtain the expansion to playtest everything. Hopefully soon! I just wanted to be up front and transparent about why there is a delay with the rules.

Brand New Toddler Random Trait Generator!

The Toddler Random Trait Generator has been rebuilt from the ground up thanks to the help of our awesome “Plugin Guy”. The issues that were occurring on the old generator should no longer be an issue as it’s a completely different plugin that works in a different way than the old one did.

You should no longer experience stuck traits. You might get repeats of the same trait (that is normal as there are only 8 traits and repeats will occur), but they shouldn’t be “stuck” anymore.

Legacy Challenge Updates & A New Challenge Coming Soon!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to give you a quick update in regards to what is happening with the Legacy Challenge with the new Parenthood game pack. We will be adding some optional updates to the channel (if you don’t own the pack, you obviously will not need to do anything different). We are still playtesting quite a bit, but hopefully will have the updates soon!

Pinstar also has a NEW challenge for the Parenthood pack in the works. Rules will be posted once he has finished playtesting everything. This challenge will be specific to the Parenthood pack and should be a nice, shorter challenge for those of you that don’t have the time to do a long, Legacy challenge 🙂

Wonder Child and Legacy Challenge Rules Updated for Toddlers & Vampires!

Hey everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that both the Legacy Challenge and the Wonder Child Challenge rules have been updated for Toddlers and vampires!

The Legacy Challenge hasn’t really changed much. You are welcome to make a vampire founder/heirs. Just bear in mind that since they are immortal you will need to figure out what to do with the older generations as the challenge progresses. Toddlers haven’t really changed anything in this challenge aside from adding an additional life stage to play.

As far as the Wonder Child is concerned toddlers added a bunch of new points and bonuses to earn so make sure you read over the rules carefully! You will NOT be able to use vampires in this challenge as that will eliminate the “time crunch” aspect of it.

The Random Trait Generator has been updated to include the new vampire aspirations (though if you decide you don’t want a vampire in your family or you don’t own the pack, you can simply re-roll). Toddlers also have their own Trait Generator for you to use as you need it!

The Sims 4 Vampires – Beginning a Vampire Legacy

Hey everyone! We were lucky enough to get an early access/review copy of the upcoming Sims 4 Vampires Pack from EA. I decided that rather than going through all of CAS and build/buy mode (which I know A LOT of other Youtubers can do much better than me) that I would start off a new Legacy Challenge with a Vampire Founder for an all-vampire Legacy Challenge.

Toddler Trait Generator Now Available!

 

PLEASE NOTE – We are encountering an issue where only Angelic is showing up for everyone that uses it. It’s working fine for me, however, so I’m not really sure what the problem is. Trying to figure it out.

We finally have a Toddler Random Trait Generator available for you guys to use in your Legacy Challenges! It’s a bit different from the regular Random Trait Generator as you will not need the parents’ traits to determine what your toddler’s trait is. You can simply head to the Toddler Trait Generator page and it will automatically tell you what your toddler’s trait will be. Simply refresh to get a new trait if you need to get a trait for more than one toddler!

Sorry for the delay! At first we thought we were going to have to update our regular Trait Generator, but then we realized we could easily make a separate one which made it much easier to create. Hope you enjoy!

Updating the Legacy & Wonder Child Challenge to Include Toddlers

 

So many people were stunned yesterday to see that Toddlers were added to The Sims 4 in a FREE update to the game. Us included!
We’ve already gotten several questions regarding how toddlers will fit in to the Legacy Challenge and Wonder Child Challenge as well as whether or not we are going to update the Random Trait Generator. This update took us as much by surprise as it did all of you, so we were not able to get the Random Trait Generator updated sooner. We also are dealing with some real life stuff (a family member has been dealing with some health issues) so that needed to take priority.

Legacy Challenge Rules Update – City Native Aspiration

It has been brought to our attention that the new aspiration in The Sims 4 City Living, City Native, is going to be impossible to complete in a Legacy Challenge setting. This is due to the fact that the aspiration requires your Sims to move to San Myshuno. Since heirs can’t move out of the Legacy household, this presents a bit of a problem.

We have decided to remove the City Native aspiration from the Random Trait Generator so that Sims born into the Legacy Challenge won’t roll that aspiration.

If you marry a Sim into your Legacy household with the City Native aspiration you may reroll their aspiration on the Random Trait Generator (just ignore the new traits that pop up) and choose whatever new aspiration is given.
