Hello and welcome to Chapter 3 of the Europa Legacy! If you haven’t read the previous chapters, they can be found here.
Geneva went to bed exhausted the night before, so much so, that she never actually went to the bathroom. Now she’s about to pee herself. Whoops!
We haven’t bought a toilet yet, however, so I end to send her out into the world to relieve her EXTREMELY full bladder. Just look at that face. That is ONE uncomfortable Sim!
Ahhhh sweet relief….
Now that her bladder isn’t about to explode, Geneva is comfortably back at home eating some cereal. She has to be at work soon and I need to try and get her inspired beforehand, so once she’s done with her bowl of Froot Loops, she’ll be heading to the museum to view paintings for inspiration.
Geneva: “I don’t know what this is a painting of, but it sure is pretty!”
Score! She earned a promotion at work, so we can now afford a toilet! Yay!
Geneva was so excited about her promotion at work the previous day that she decided to dance it up at the gym. This also gives me some time to scout out a potential mate that isn’t Don Lothario (seriously is he ever NOT at the gym?). Oh wait… who’s this?
It’s SimGuruGraham! Hi Graham! Thanks for making a cameo in my Legacy, that was awfully nice of you! May as well see how you and Geneva hit it off…
Graham: Ok, but first, I am overwhelmed with a need to punch this punching bag. So I’m going to do that.
Um… ok… sure.
Geneva: Um… hi. The disembodied voice told me to come talk to you.
Graham: Yeah, I heard her too. She sounds kind of bossy.
Geneva: You have NO idea.
*ahem* I can HEAR you both you know.
Geneva: The disembodied voice tells me you helped to create the world I live in. That’s awesome. Great job!
Graham: The disembodied voice talks too much, you aren’t supposed to know about that. *stares into Geneva’s eyes*
Geneva: Know about what?
Graham: Exactly.
*blink*
Um… Geneva? Are you still hypnotized by his eyes or something? *snaps fingers*
Geneva: Huh, what?
Graham: Oh, nothing! We were just talking about the weather.
Geneva: Oh, yes! It’s such a nice day.
It’s always a nice day Geneva, the weather expansion pack hasn’t been announced ye… I mean… yeah. Nice day. *shifty eyes to Graham*
Geneva: Hey Graham, want to come back to my place for a bit and chat? I feel like we’re really connecting.
Graham: Why sure! I’m sick of punching this punching bag anyway.
Well… someone sure was in a hurry to get here.
Geneva, try and flirt with him!
Geneva: Um… heeeeeeeeeeeeeey good lookin’. What’s um… up?
*facepalm*
Yep… this is what they ended up doing on their first “date”. Reading. However, they ARE hitting it off quite well. I do believe we will be seeing more of Mr. Nardone in future chapters. Who knows, perhaps we have even found our Legacy spouse! (and yes, he counts, I confirmed this with Pinstar. I don’t know his traits and he lives in a house with other SimGurus so he won’t bring in any money!)
See you next time! Happy Simming!
I love your legacy so far. One thing to note, according to the Sims 4 Legacy Challenge rules, your spouse isn’t supposed to bring money with them. I believe you are actually supposed to use the money cheat to get rid of it, if they do happen to bring in money. However, you could probably do what I did one time. If you know the spouse she’s marrying is bringing in money, and you’d like to keep it, add something extra to the challenge to make it harder. I made certain my founder had a house with all the necessities before bringing the spouse (and his money) into the house. I believe she was almost an adult before I managed to do that (of course I also added even more difficulty by not letting her get a job).
Since that nonsense is out of the way, I’m curious about something. Did you add the Guru household to your game? I thought that we weren’t supposed to marry anyone we added, or does that only apply to Sims you yourself created? It’s really cool if we can add potential spouses from the Gallery.
Anyway, I apologize for the very loooong post. I’m looking forward to reading more of your legacy.
Yes I added the Guru household to the game. One way to ensure that Sims don’t bring in any money is to bring in multiple-Sim households from the gallery under the #LegacyLoves hashtag search. Any time a Sim is brought into the family from a household with more than one Sim they will not bring in any money. That way you don’t need to cheat out the money at all because they won’t be coming in with any. Graham isn’t from a #LegacyLoves household, but any multiple-Sim household from the gallery is fine because they won’t bring in any money and providing you don’t look at their traits, you won’t know them beforehand.
The #LegacyLoves addition is part of the updated rules. You can find out all information about it here.
And yeah you just can’t add households that you create yourself. Any Sims that you have added from the Gallery whether they are #LegacyLoves or not, are fair game to be spouses.
Did you already announce the succession laws for this legacy?
Should be in the first chapter. But they are Strict Matriarchy, Strict Traditional, and Merit. I should probably go check now because I can’t remember if I put them in or not! xD
Whoops! I didn’t! I’ll announce officially in Chapter 4 then 🙂
I’ll just act surprised 😉
